I can't believe it's already almost time for the Real World Conference, being held in Orlando, Florida again this year. Last year it was terrific and this year--with extended coverage of exciting new features such as iOS development and expanded to three days--it promises to be the best Real World ever. There's still time to register, as the conference is April 24-26, so do so now as I predict you'll regret it if you don't. In This Issue
I hadn't intended this to be an all-German issue, but it just worked out that way. Monkeybread Software's Christian Schmitz has contributed three articles: Tips on what to do when visiting Orlando, a How-To on using Amazon's EC2 for deploying your web apps, and a quick update for plugin authors on recent changes to the Real Studio SDK. Another German, Jens Bendig, writes about the hidden dangers of booleans.
Finally, though I'm not from Germany, I explain how to use Inno Setup to create an installer for your Windows programs. If you're a Mac user, it should be helpful.
In our columns, Bob Keeney writes his final one (we're sorry to see him go but he's exhausted his consulting topic), while his employee Seth Verrinder makes his debut writing about the advantages of using a REALSQLDatabase as your app's file format. In Beginner's Corner, I explain conditional compiling and Pragma Directives, while in databases Craig covers SQL tables, and Paul writes about deploying web apps and what to expect at Real World 2013. Enjoy!
